Overview

Transparent Hands is going to organize a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Kingston College, Lahore. The free medical camp will facilitate hundreds of underprivileged patients belonging to this area. Our best doctors and the medical camp team will provide the following healthcare services:

  • Free Consultations
  • Free Medicines for five days
  • Free Hepatitis B & C Screenings
  • Free BSR and Blood Pressure Tests
  • Ultrasound Scans
  • Uric Acid Test 
  • Cholesterol Test
  • Hemoglobin Test
  • Free registrations of patients for surgeries and medical procedures

Challenges

In the midst of challenges such as water contamination, air pollution, dengue outbreaks, and plastic pollution, the residents find themselves confronted with a multitude of health issues. Respiratory diseases, heart and lung ailments, diabetes, and various infectious diseases including Hepatitis A, B, and C, typhoid, diarrhea, cholera, tuberculosis, and skin infections.  Unfortunately, the combination of overpopulation, poverty, and limited access to healthcare facilities has left a significant portion of the population unable to receive the necessary medical services they urgently require.

Our Solution 

Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp at Kingston College with a preventive healthcare session for deserving patients residing in Lahore. The doctors and specialists will provide free consultations, medicines, a preventive healthcare session, and the aforementioned diagnostic tests. Along with this, the patients who need surgeries or other medical treatment will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to one of our panel hospitals in Lahore. You can donate to this noble cause and save the lives of hundreds of deserving patients. 


Transparent Hands, in sponsorship with Systems Limited, conducted a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on October 2, 2023, at Kingston College, Lahore. The purpose of this camp was to provide impoverished patients with quality healthcare services at no cost. The initiative was successful in making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 387 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors. They were also provided with free medicines, diabetes, uric acid tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, ultrasounds, cholesterol checks, and blood pressure measurements. Additionally, 149 different diagnostic tests were also conducted, ensuring comprehensive healthcare for all attendees.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, flu, earache, chest infection, seasonal allergies, asthma, diabetes, diarrhea, abdominal pain, gastric trouble, hernia, weak eyesight, pink eye, high cholesterol, hypertension, body pain, and weakness. No surgical case was registered during the camp. 

Preventive Healthcare Session 

Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of Dengue

Impact 

The recent free medical camp in Lahore had a profound impact on 387 deserving patients and their families. It provided essential medical care to those who had limited access before. The camp offered free consultations and treatments, addressing their immediate health needs.

In addition to medical care, the camp also held a session on preventive healthcare, teaching attendees about dengue and its prevention. This helped raise awareness and improve health outcomes within the community. The success of the camp was made possible by generous donors who shared Transparent Hands' vision of bringing quality healthcare to underprivileged communities. Their support has created a brighter and healthier future for the marginalized individuals in Lahore.

 

Medical Camp Team

The Lahore medical camp team consisted of 13 members, including one supervisor, four doctors (two males and two females), one lab technician, two pharmacists, one patient registrar/crew member, one volunteer, one staff nurse, and two photographers.
