Challenges

In Sialkot, there are several healthcare problems and common diseases that affect the local population. These include limited access to quality healthcare services, infectious diseases such as respiratory and gastrointestinal infections, non-communicable diseases like cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, and maternal and child health issues. Addressing these healthcare problems requires efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure, and increase access to quality healthcare services.

Support Transparent Hands’ Upcoming Medical Camps


Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on 28th February 2024 at Nizam Sons Pvt Ltd Sialkot, Sialkot, Punjab. This camp aimed to bridge the gap between impoverished patients and much-needed medical assistance, ensuring that they receive the care they deserve.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 460 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors. They were also provided with free medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, cholesterol checks, and blood pressure checks. Additionally, 262 diagnostic tests were conducted to ensure comprehensive healthcare evaluation.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, flu, chest congestion, seasonal allergies, scabies, asthma, hepatitis, backache, migraine, joint pain, kidney problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, abdominal pain, diarrhea, acidity, and toothache. 

Preventive Healthcare Session

One of our expert doctors conducted a preventive healthcare session, providing attendees with simple guidelines to prioritize their heart health and prevent heart attacks.

Impact

The free medical camp had a profound impact on the lives of 460 deserving patients and their families. It provided them with access to essential healthcare services that they may have otherwise struggled to afford or obtain. Through our free medical consultations and diagnostic tests, the camp addressed immediate healthcare needs, ensuring that patients received the necessary care and attention.

The Sialkot medical camp team consisted of 19 members, including one supervisor, five doctors (two males and three females), one lab technician, one staff nurse, one pharmacist, one crew worker, seven volunteers, and one photographer.
