Challenges
There are limited health facilities in Dera Ghazi Khan, particularly in remote areas where people struggle with inadequate healthcare infrastructure, resulting in insufficient access to hospitals and clinics. Additionally, challenges in healthcare access persist due to a lack of medical professionals and resources, further complicating the situation for residents.
Gastroenteritis is a common health issue, particularly in the tribal areas of Dera Ghazi Khan. Moreover, many communicable and non-communicable diseases are also prevalent.
Solution
To bridge the gap in healthcare access, Transparent Hands is going to set up a free medical camp in Dera Ghazi Khan. This camp will play a pivotal role in catering to the health needs of the diverse community. Many patients who suffer from treatable diseases will get immediate medical interventions. Transparent Hands, with the collaboration of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Intuit and Farmers Development Organization (FDO), organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in Mutfariq Chahan, Dera Ghazi Khan. The primary objective of this camp, held on October 10, 2024, was to provide essential medical assistance to low-income communities and ensure they receive quality healthcare services.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:
A total of 375 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, general check-ups, blood pressure check-ups, ultrasound scans, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and cholesterol tests were provided free of cost. Preventive Healthcare Session
In addition to the medical services, one of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about Anemia. It is a condition in which the body lacks healthy red blood cells.

This free medical camp made a significant difference in the lives of 375 deserving patients and their families. In Dera Ghazi Khan, many patients had limited access to quality healthcare. Due to not getting timely diagnosis and medical interventions, their health issues worsened over time.
