Challenges

The North Industrial Area in Karachi faces significant health problems and challenges, including limited access to healthcare services. Many residents struggle to afford medical consultations, medications, and tests, while preventive healthcare awareness remains low, resulting in the prevalence of common diseases such as respiratory infections, gastrointestinal illnesses, and chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension. In response to these challenges, a free medical camp will be organized to provide essential healthcare services to deserving patients. Through this camp, individuals will receive free consultations, medicines, and tests, regardless of their financial constraints. 

Our Solution 

Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session for deserving patients residing in the North Industrial Area of Karachi. Expert doctors and specialists will offer free consultations, medicines, and necessary diagnostic tests. Patients in need of surgeries or other treatments will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to our panel hospitals. Your donation can make a significant impact and save the lives of hundreds of deserving patients in this area.


Transparent Hands, in collaboration with Nizami Organization & Thara Foundation recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality healthcare available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held at Darbar e Nizami, Plot No 217, Saifal Goth, Near the North Karachi Industrial Area, Karachi on August 27, 2023. 

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 519 deserving patients, in the North Karachi medical camp, received free consultations with expert doctors. Additionally, the provision of essential medicines, diabetes tests, screenings for hepatitis B and C, and assessments for Malaria, Cholesterol, and blood pressure were also conducted free of charge. A total of 57 lab tests were also conducted.

Diseases and Treatments

A majority of the patients seeking consultations at the North Karachi medical camp presented with symptoms such as fever, cough, flu, seasonal allergies, skin infections, chest infections, vomiting, high BP, heart, diabetes, body pain, joint pain, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and body weakness. 

Preventive Healthcare Session 

One of our expert doctors conducted a comprehensive preventive healthcare session, emphasizing the importance of personal hygiene as well as the role of healthy food in maintaining good health. The doctor provided valuable guidance on improving hygiene practices, along with an added emphasis on the significance of consuming nutritious food for overall well-being.

A free medical camp held in North Karachi left an indelible mark on the lives of 517 deserving patients and their families. This transformative initiative emerged as a beacon of hope, delivering critical medical care to those who had long been deprived of such essential services.

With an unwavering commitment to ensuring equitable access to healthcare, the camp's primary objective was to bridge the healthcare gap for disadvantaged individuals. By providing free consultations and treatments, it extended a lifeline to those grappling with limited resources and dire circumstances. 

A session dedicated to personal hygiene served as an enlightening platform, equipping participants with practical tips and knowledge to safeguard their well-being. This comprehensive approach empowered individuals to take charge of their health, promoting a sense of individual accountability and inspiring long-term positive change.

The resounding success of the camp owes its gratitude to the remarkable generosity of numerous donors who share the vision of Transparent Hands—a vision that envisions quality healthcare as a fundamental right for all, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances.
