Challenges
Kotri is situated approximately 90 kilometers away from Karachi and faces significant health concerns exacerbated by its harsh living conditions and limited access to essential services.
Kotri grapples with brackish water, which poses a serious threat to the health of its residents. The consumption of plagued and salty drinking water not only elevates blood pressure levels but also contributes to cardiovascular complications such as the enlargement of the heart and the development of gastric ulcers. The lack of access to clean water exacerbates the risk of dehydration and electrolyte imbalances, further compromising the health of individuals in the community.
The absence of adequate healthcare facilities and reliable transportation systems in Kotri makes it challenging for expecting mothers to access prenatal care and safe delivery services.
Furthermore, the absence of a reliable transportation system in Kotri impedes residents’ ability to seek timely medical attention for various health concerns. Without efficient means of transportation, individuals face significant barriers in accessing essential healthcare services, leading to delayed diagnoses and treatment, and ultimately worsening health outcomes
