Challenges 

In Kot Radha Kishan, some of the main health challenges include limited access to healthcare facilities, inadequate sanitation and hygiene infrastructure, prevalence of waterborne diseases, malnutrition, and a high incidence of respiratory illnesses. The most common health diseases in the area include diarrheal diseases, respiratory infections, malaria, malnutrition-related conditions, and gastrointestinal disorders.

Our Solution 

Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in Kot Radha Kishan, extending support to the most vulnerable members of the community.

Transparent Hands, in sponsorship with Packages Group, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on April 16, 2024, at Bulleh Shah Packaging in Kot Radha Kishan. The aim was to provide quality healthcare to impoverished patients. This aimed to help patients become more aware and knowledgeable about how to maintain good health. 

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 339 patients, including Bulleh Shah Packaging employees and individuals from the nearby community, were provided with free consultations with skilled doctors. Additionally, they received free medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, screenings for hepatitis B & C, ultrasound examinations, cholesterol checks, and blood pressure measurements.

The free medical camp held in Kot Radha Kishan had a profound impact on 339 deserving patients and their families. It served as a crucial lifeline for them to access essential healthcare services that would have otherwise been unattainable due to financial constraints. 

The camp provided these patients with free medical consultations and diagnostic tests, effectively addressing their immediate healthcare needs and leaving a lasting positive impact. 

In addition to medical care, the camp also conducted preventive healthcare sessions that proved to be immensely valuable. The transformative impact of this mission to extend quality healthcare to impoverished, remote, and rural regions of our country was amplified by the continuous support of thousands of kind donors.

The medical camp team consisted of 13 members, including one supervisor, three doctors (one male and two females), one lab technician, one staff nurse, one pharmacist, two patient registrars/crew members, two volunteers, and two photographers.
