Transparent Hands is going to organize a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in Mardan, KPK. The main purpose of this free medical camp is to facilitate hundreds of patients from underprivileged areas. Our best doctors and the medical camp team will provide the following healthcare services:

Challenges
With a population of almost 396,000, Mardan is the second largest district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Mardan is famous for its archeological sites. A large number of its residents are facing different health conditions such as cholera, Hepatitis A/B/C, acute liver inflammation, acute diarrhea, respiratory disorders, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cardiac failures, and anemia in pregnant women. Many of these health problems are treatable but people continue to suffer because they don’t have access to quality healthcare facilities.
Our solution
Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session for the deserving patients residing in Mardan, KPK. The doctors and specialists will provide free consultations, medicines, a preventive healthcare session, and the aforementioned diagnostic tests. Along with this, the patients who need surgeries or other medical treatment will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to one of our panel hospitals in the province. Transparent Hands recently arranged a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session for the underprivileged communities in Mardan. The free medical camp was held in Sarwar Abad, Mar Kori, Mardan on August 25, 2022. The Centre for Peace and Development (CPRD) and Al-Falah Youth also participated in the medical camp.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 410 needy patients received free consultations by our expert doctors. The patients were also provided with free medicines, face masks, sanitizers, and various diagnostic tests, including hepatitis B & C screenings and diabetes and blood pressure checkups.
Diseases and Treatments
The most common health conditions and diseases found among the patients were chest infection, gynecological problems, joint/knee pain, backache, chest infection, diarrhea, gastric diseases, skin infections, hepatitis, flu, throat infections, cardiac diseases, eye problems, lower back pain, kidney problems, abdominal pain, and diabetes. Eight surgical cases were also found during the medical camp.
Preventive Healthcare Session for Women
A female doctor held a preventive healthcare session on hygiene and water-borne diseases and health tips for women at the medical camp. The doctor advised the female attendees to boil drinking water before using it. She also discussed the importance of washing hands before cooking and after using the washroom.
Impact
This free Mardan medical camp in Mar Kori made a difference in the lives of 410 patients and their families. With the support of our donors and sponsors,we are bringing quality healthcare services to an increasing number of patients belonging to underprivileged communities all across Pakistan.
Medical Team
The medical team of the free medical camp in Mar Kori consisted of 15 members, including one supervisor, three doctors (one male and two female), two pharmacists, one lab technician, two patient registrars, one photographer, and five crew workers.
