Uplift Lives With Free Maternal and Child Healthcare in Karachi

Transparent Hands is arranging another free camp in Karachi, with a focus on improving the health and well-being of mothers and children. It is part of our maternal and child health initiative. Karachi is one of the biggest cities in Pakistan. However, many families in underserved areas still struggle to get quality healthcare. Hospitals are often too expensive. As a result, people don’t get the treatments they need on time. Through this camp, they will receive essential healthcare services so that they can have an improved quality of life.
Challenges
Sindh has a pregnancy-related death rate of 345 per 100,000 live births and a maternal mortality rate of 224 per 100,000 live births.
Karachi has some of the best hospitals in the country. However, quality healthcare services are often out of reach for many residents due to high costs and overcrowded public hospitals. Women living in low-income areas often face complications during pregnancy due to limited prenatal care and a lack of awareness about maternal health. Similarly, children suffer from poor nutrition and untreated illnesses.
Solution
To address these healthcare challenges, Transparent Hands is arranging a free medical camp under its Maternal and Child Health Initiative. The medical camp aims to provide comprehensive services for women and children. Our skilled team of doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and volunteers will deliver the following healthcare services.
· Consultations with a pediatrician
· Gynecological check-ups for women
· Blood Pressure check-ups
· Nutritional screenings for children
· BMI calculation
· Blood sugar tests
· CBC
· Ultrasound scans for women
· Preventive Healthcare Session
· Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered
Preventive Healthcare Session
A preventive healthcare session will be conducted by our medical professionals to raise awareness about one of the common health issues affecting maternal and child health.
