Challenges 

The people of Jaranwala face significant health challenges due to a lack of medical and healthcare facilities. Common health diseases in the area include waterborne illnesses, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD, malnutrition-related issues, and inadequate access to healthcare services. These critical health concerns necessitate urgent attention to improve healthcare infrastructure, address sanitation issues, and provide accessible medical support to alleviate the burden of diseases on the community in Jaranwala.

Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in the heart of Jaranwala. This compassionate initiative aims to reach out to the most vulnerable members of the community, offering free consultations, necessary medicines, and comprehensive diagnostic tests.  We also facilitate the registration and referral of patients in need of specialized treatment or surgical interventions to reputable hospitals.

Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide free medical services to individuals from underprivileged backgrounds. It was held on June 28, 2024 at Chak # 240-GB, Jaranwala. Rafhan Maize and other donors also supported us in this camp. 

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 227 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors. This camp also offered free medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis screenings, and blood pressure checks.

Most Common Diseases 

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from  fever, flu, cough, chest infection, earache, toothache, seasonal allergies, scabies, backache, diabetes, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, anemia, high blood pressure, knee pain, and body pain. 

Preventive Healthcare Session 

One of our doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees to educate them for the prevention of Scabies 

Impact 

The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 227 deserving patients and their families. Through this medical camp, deserving patients receive quality medical services that would have otherwise been inaccessible due to financial limitations. By offering free medical consultations and diagnostic tests, the camp effectively addressed the immediate healthcare needs of these underserved patients. 

A preventive healthcare session further added immense value to our mission. This transformative initiative to provide quality healthcare to impoverished, remote, and rural areas was made possible through the unwavering support of numerous generous donors. These financial contributions played a crucial role in enabling us to reach and assist those who would have otherwise been deprived of essential medical care.
