Muhammad Imran's Story

Muhammad Imran is a 55‑year‑old man from Lahore, Punjab. He suffers from severe pain and stiffness in his left knee, which has significantly affected his mobility and daily activities. After a clinical evaluation by the doctor, he was diagnosed with left knee osteoarthritis, and the doctor advised a left-sided total knee replacement (TKR) surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s financial means. Without timely treatment, Muhammad Imran may face worsening pain, increasing joint deformity, and progressive disability that could eventually leave him unable to walk or stand without support. The left-sided total knee replacement procedure will remove the damaged joint surfaces and replace them with prosthetic components, thereby relieving pain, correcting alignment, and improving his quality of life.

Muhammad Imran is a married man with four children, though none currently live with him and his wife. The family has no stable breadwinner and depends on the support of neighbors for basic necessities such as food and other household expenses. Muhammad Imran and his wife live in a rented house, and even the monthly rent is paid by their neighbors. Due to financial constraints, they cannot afford the surgery cost. .
