Heal Farhan Ali’s Heart Defects
Farhan Ali Muslim's Story
Farhan Ali Muslim, a 1-year-old baby boy from Lahore, has spent his entire life fighting for every breath. Since birth, he has been struggling with shortness of breath and chest discomfort. Farhan is not growing like other kids of his age. Concerned about his condition, Farhan’s parents took him for a detailed medical check-up. After performing a series of diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed Farhan with severe Mitral Regurgitation (MR), Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP), and Left Ventricular Volume Overload (LVVO). These are serious congenital heart conditions that affect how blood flows through his heart and body.
His doctor has recommended Mitral Valve Repair Surgery — a life-saving procedure. However, the cost of this complex cardiac surgery is far beyond what his family can afford. Without this surgery, Farhan’s condition will continue to deteriorate. It may lead to severe complications and Farhan will not be able to overcome the disease.
Farhan lives in a small rented house in Lahore with his parents and younger sibling. His father works as a laborer, earning only PKR 20,000 per month. This meager income barely covers their rent, food, and daily expenses. There are no savings, no assets to sell, and no extended family who can help. They are surviving in extreme poverty and affording to pay for Farhan’s life-changing surgery is impossible for them. With teary eyes, his father said:
“Every breath my son takes feels like a battle. As a father, it’s heartbreaking to watch him suffer like this. I want nothing more than to see him grow up healthy and happy, but I can’t afford the surgery. Help us save our child’s life.”
Farhan relies on your generosity. Without timely surgery, his future remains uncertain. Your support can give Farhan a second chance at life, one where he can breathe freely and grow up strong and healthy.
Let’s stand together to give this brave little boy the gift of a healthy heart.

Farhan Ali Muslim's Story
Farhan Ali Muslim, a 1-year-old boy from Lahore, had been struggling with shortness of breath and chest discomfort. He was not growing properly or meeting his developmental milestones. Watching their son become breathless even while feeding was heartbreaking for his parents. Deeply worried, they took Farhan for a detailed medical check-up to a local hospital. After conducting several diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with severe Mitral Regurgitation (MR), Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP), and Left Ventricular Volume Overload (LVVO). These serious congenital heart conditions were disrupting the normal flow of blood through his heart. The only hope for Farhan was Mitral Valve Repair Surgery. However, this life-saving surgery came with a cost that was far beyond his family’s means.
Farhan’s father works as a laborer in Lahore, earning just PKR 20,000 per month. This modest income barely covers their house rent, food, and essential daily expenses for their family of four. With no savings and no relatives who could support them financially, they were left feeling helpless. They turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help. Moved by Farhan’s case, Transparent Hands registered his case.
On May 18, 2025, Farhan was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore. The next day, Dr. Asim Khan skillfully performed his Mitral Valve Repair surgery. After receiving excellent post-operative care, Farhan was discharged in stable condition on May 23, 2025.
Farhan’s parents shared their heartfelt gratitude as follows: "We are happy, knowing that our son can now breathe and grow like other children. This was made possible because of your kindness and generosity. Thank you for enabling Farhan to lead a healthy life."
Today, Farhan is steadily recovering at home.
They extend their deepest gratitude to you and the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation for saving Farhan’s life.
