You Extended Relief to Thousands of Flood Victims in Pakistan

Transparent Hands, with the generous support of donors, sponsors, and partners, organized 150+ free flood relief camps for the victims in Pakistan from September 4, 2025, to December 10, 2025. 

In 2025, heavy rains and cloudbursts caused severe flooding across Pakistan. Around 6.9 million people were affected as entire villages and cities were submerged. More than 1,000 people lost their lives, and many were injured. Clean drinking water became unsafe, food supplies perished, homes were destroyed, and the risk of water-borne diseases increased. For many families, daily life became a struggle for survival.

Immediate Medical Response

Transparent Hands acted quickly to respond to this emergency. Teams, including female and male doctors, were sent to the worst-hit areas to provide urgent relief to flood victims. To meet the needs of the survivors, Transparent Hands set up free flood relief camps across the country.

          Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Kasur, Okara, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Narowal, Nankana Sahib, Jhang, Khanewal, Kabirwala, Vehari, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Jalalpur Pirwala, Toba Tek Singh, Pir Mahal, Tandlianwala, Samundri, Chiniot, and Sialkot.

Relief Supplies for Flood Victims

Besides this, Transparent Hands also provided essential relief items to help flood-hit families survive. The items included:

  • Each food pack was thoughtfully prepared to meet the needs of a family. It contained: Daal Chana (1kg), Daal Masoor Washed (1kg), Wheat Flour (20kg), White Sugar (2kg), Canola Oil (1L X 5), Basmati Rice (5kg), Black Tea Leaves (350g), Red Chilli Powder (400g), White Chana (1kg), Iodized Table Salt (80g), Tea Whitener (560g), and Soap Bars (98G X 5) 
• Clean drinking water
• Clothing and blankets
• Tents and mosquito nets

Preventing and Fighting Malaria

During the floods, malaria cases increased rapidly. To address this, Transparent Hands provided free malaria testing and treatment at the camps. In addition, mosquito nets were distributed to protect families from mosquito bites. Preventive healthcare sessions were also conducted to educate communities about malaria symptoms and prevention methods.

Combatting Waterborne Illnesses

Waterborne diseases such as diarrhea became common among flood-affected families due to contaminated water sources. Damaged sanitation systems increased the risk of infection, especially among children and the elderly. At the relief camps, patients received free diagnostic tests, consultations, treatments and clean drinking water. In addition, preventive healthcare sessions were conducted to educate communities about maintaining personal hygiene. It helped reduce the spread of diseases and protect families from further health risks.

The devastating floods destroyed homes and left families without access to healthcare services and essential items such as food, clean water, and clothing. During this crisis, our flood relief camps and efforts became a source of hope for flood-hit families. Approximately 57,500 flood victims received free first aid, consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines for treatable illnesses. Many families had lost their homes, so tents, mosquito nets, and blankets were provided to protect them from the cold. We also distributed water bottles among the affected families. These camps extended relief to numerous flood victims across the country.

Preventive Healthcare Sessions

Besides providing free healthcare services and essential relief items, preventive healthcare sessions were conducted at these camps to raise awareness about scabies, skin allergies, malaria, waterborne diseases, and other common health issues that had become widespread due to flooding and poor hygiene conditions. Flood victims were educated about symptoms, prevention, and basic management of these illnesses. These sessions helped communities adopt healthier practices and improve their quality of life.

Free Healthcare Reached Narowal’s Flood Victims with Your Support

Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of XM, organized a free flood relief camp and a preventive healthcare session in Mado Gol Village, Union Council Langha, Tehsil Shakargarh, Narowal, on October 27, 2025. The primary goal of this camp was to provide much-needed medical assistance to flood-affected families who had been struggling to access healthcare services after the devastating floods in the region.

They had been experiencing sickness without proper treatment. The camp provided them with free checkups, diagnostic tests, and essential medicines.

Flood Relief Reached the Victims in Jalalpur Pirwala with Your Support

Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of the Soorty Foundation, organized a free flood relief camp at  Mozah Wacha Sandila, Tehsil Jalalpur Pirwala, District Multan on November 28, 2025. Flood victims were provided with essential food packs, tents, blankets, consultations, diagnostic tests, medicines, and a preventive healthcare session.

Flooding in the area submerged homes, damaged crops, and destroyed essential household items. Many families were forced to leave their homes and take shelter in unsafe conditions. They faced food shortages, exposure to cold weather, and increased health risks. The purpose of this camp was to extend relief to flood-hit families in Jalalpur Pirwala.

Our team provided tents, food packs, and blankets to 60 flood-affected families in Jalalpur Pirwala. This support addressed their needs, providing safe temporary shelter, nutritious food, and protection from the harsh winter. Each food pack was carefully prepared to meet the nutritional and household needs of a family. Each food pack included the following essential items:

When the floods hit these areas, many people lost their homes, food supplies, and access to basic necessities like clothing. During this crisis, Transparent Hands went the extra mile to extend relief to the flood-hit families. Our team reached severely affected areas where families were struggling to access essentials. Preventive Healthcare Sessions

Preventive healthcare sessions were also held to raise awareness about some of the common diseases during and after the floods. The sessions covered multiple health-related issues including, water-borne diseases, hepatitis, gastrointestinal illnesses, skin allergy, and the importance of drinking clean water and maintaining hygiene. 

Identification of Surgical Cases

During these three camps, three patients were identified who required surgical procedures. Depending on the detailed medical and financial evaluation, Transparent Hands may register them for further treatment at one of our panel hospitals.

Impact 

The floods had caused destruction and left families without access to basic healthcare services. During this critical time, these flood relief camps became a source of hope for the affected communities. A total of 1798 patients benefited from free consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines. These camps helped control the spread of waterborne and infectious diseases and restored health and hope among flood-affected families.

We Saved Lives Through Our Flood Relief Camps in KPK

Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of Packages Foundation, recently organized four free flood relief camps in Buner and Swat, KPK. These camps were set up to support families severely affected by recent floods, providing them with much-needed medical assistance. A total of 847 patients received free medical services, including consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests.

Free Healthcare Services Provided

During the flood relief camps, patients were provided with a wide range of healthcare services to address their health concerns. These included:

• Consultations
• Blood Pressure Checkups
• Blood Sugar Tests
• Malaria Tests
• Uric Acid & Cholesterol Tests
• Hepatitis B & C Screenings
• Medicines
• Preventive Healthcare Sessions

206 lab tests were conducted to ensure the timely diagnosis of various health conditions.

Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of Sahil Welfare Association, organized 4 free flood relief camps in Buner, Swat, and Shangla. These camps were arranged to reach families who couldn’t access essential healthcare services after the devastating floods. A total of 1617 patients received free medical checkups, diagnostic tests, and medicines during these camps.

We Organized Impactful Flood Relief Camps in Buner

These camps were organized to bring essential healthcare services to people whose lives were disrupted by floods.
