Transparent Hands and PPAF Sign an MoU to Help Flood Victims

Transparent Hands and PPAF Sign an MoU

The Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and Transparent Hands recently joined forces to provide immediate assistance to flood victims in Pakistan. The organizations already had an impactful partnership to support the most deserving patients in the country through free medical camps and preventive healthcare sessions. However, the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to extend essential healthcare services to flood victims

The MoU was signed on August 25, 2025 at PPAF’s Islamabad office. Mr. Nadir Gul Barech (CEO of PPAF) and Mr. Kashif Mueen (CEO of Transparent Hands) signed the document on behalf of their respective organizations.

Mr. Raheel Abbas (Director of Operations, Transparent Hands) thanked Mr. Nadir Gul Barech for their trust and confidence in Transparent Hands, and said:

“These are challenging times. The scale of the devastation caused by this year’s floods is overwhelming and heartbreaking. This partnership between Transparent Hands and PPAF will ensure that life-saving medical care is extended to as many flood-hit families as possible.”

Under the MoU, PPAF has pledged to sponsor 124 free flood relief camps in Pakistan’s flood-affected regions. These camps will bring free check-ups by expert doctors, medicines, first aid, diagnostic tests, and preventive healthcare sessions to the flood-affected communities.

Triggered by climate change, erratic monsoon patterns and cloudbursts, the floods have caused widespread destruction in many parts of Pakistan, resulting in many deaths. The floods and their effects are forcing people to migrate to safer areas. During this ongoing crisis, Transparent Hands’ teams have been on the ground to provide relief in the most affected areas. With PPAF’s support, Transparent Hands will be able to reach out to many more flood-hit families who are facing water-borne and vector-borne diseases. PPAF and Transparent Hands’ partnership will go a long way in fighting these diseases, saving lives, and spreading hope.
