Transparent Hands organized a successful free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on August 28, 2023, at Esac Chontra Karak, KPK. The main purpose of this free medical camp was to provide quality healthcare to impoverished patients and showcase our commitment to improving healthcare access for underprivileged communities.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
While the Karak medical camp was set up, 350 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors. The Karak, KPK camp also offered free medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, ultrasounds, cholesterol checks, and blood pressure check-ups. All these services were provided without any charges to the patients. Additionally, the camp also facilitated 74 diagnostic tests, ensuring comprehensive healthcare coverage.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, flu, sore throat, chest infection, earache, eye pain, seasonal allergies, body pain, kidney pain, abdominal pain, diarrhea, migraine, and body weakness.
Preventive Healthcare Session
At the free medical camp, one of our expert doctors conducted a preventive healthcare session for the attendees. The session specifically emphasized the prevention and management of typhoid and hypertension- two significant health concerns. By providing valuable information and guidance, the doctors aimed to raise awareness and promote proactive measures to combat these health problems.

The Karak medical camp team consisted of 15 members, including one supervisor, four doctors (two males and two females), one lab technician, two pharmacists, two patient registrars /crew members, three volunteers, one staff nurse, and one photographer.
