Transparent Hands organized a successful free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on August 28, 2023, at Esac Chontra Karak, KPK. The main purpose of this free medical camp was to provide quality healthcare to impoverished patients and showcase our commitment to improving healthcare access for underprivileged communities.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
While the medical camp was set up, 350 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors. The camp also offered free medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, ultrasounds, cholesterol checks, and blood pressure check-ups. All these services were provided without any charges to the patients. Additionally, the camp also facilitated 74 diagnostic tests, ensuring comprehensive healthcare coverage.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, flu, sore throat, chest infection, earache, eye pain, seasonal allergies, body pain, kidney pain, abdominal pain, diarrhea, migraine, and body weakness.
Preventive Healthcare Session
At the free medical camp, one of our expert doctors conducted a preventive healthcare session for the attendees. The session specifically emphasized the prevention and management of typhoid and hypertension- two significant health concerns. By providing valuable information and guidance, the doctors aimed to raise awareness and promote proactive measures to combat these health problems.
The free medical camp held in Karak had a profound impact on the lives of 350 deserving patients and their families, providing them with much-needed medical care and assistance in their challenging circumstances.
The camp's primary objective was to ensure that deserving patients could access essential healthcare services, including free consultations and treatments. Additionally, a preventive healthcare session was conducted, offering practical tips to prevent typhoid and hypertension by following preventive measures.
The camp's success was made possible through the generous contributions of numerous donors who shared our vision of delivering quality healthcare to underprivileged communities in remote areas.

The medical camp team consisted of 15 members, including one supervisor, four doctors (two males and two females), one lab technician, two pharmacists, two patient registrars /crew members, three volunteers, one staff nurse, and one photographer.
