Transparent Hands recently organized a free medical camp to provide quality healthcare services to patients belonging to underprivileged areas. The free medical camp Village 32 JB, Faisalabad, was held on November 13, 2022.
The LUMS Community Service Society Team and Chughtai Lab also participated in the medical camp.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 616 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. The patients were also provided free medicines and a wide range of diagnostic tests, including Hepatitis B & C screenings, Malaria, Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Uric Acid, Typhoid, and Cholesterol tests.
Most Common Diseases
The most common diseases found among the patients were high blood pressure, diabetes, seasonal allergies, abnormal uric acid levels, gastrointestinal problems, bacterial infections, tuberculosis, muscular pains, weak eyesight, ENT problems, orthopedic issues, kidney stones, and Hepatitis A, B, and C. Free medicines were also given to many deserving patients. Eight surgical cases were also found during the free medical camp.
Preventive Healthcare Session
A doctor held a preventive healthcare session for all people at the medical camp. The doctor emphasized the importance of diabetes prevention and management. The doctor explained that along with diet and medicine, physical activity also plays an essential role in diabetes management. The doctor briefed the attendees about Hepatitis B and C and discussed its symptoms, causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
