Transparent Hands, in partnership with Rafhan Maize Products, is going to arrange a  free medical camp in Deepalpur with food distribution program, and preventive healthcare sessions for the needy people of Okara. The free medical camp will be held in Deepalpur, Okara. Our medical team, which included doctors, nurses, and pharmacists will provide a wide range of free healthcare services to deserving patients. They will  receive the following:

Challenges

Okara is located southwest of the city of Lahore and Faisalabad is 100 km bypassing away Ravi River. The city has 128 public healthcare centers and facing an acute shortage of doctors, paramedics, medicines, and facilities. Due to air, water, and waste pollution along with severe problems of a clogged sewerage system, the health of the people is highly risky and they are facing several health problems like Hepatitis, throat infection, seasonal allergies, coughing, asthma, ear pain, gastric diseases, cardiac diseases, liver issues, diabetes, blood pressure, kidney pain, and respiratory diseases.  

Our Solution 

Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp in Deepalpur with preventive healthcare session for deserving patients residing in Deepalpur, Okara. The doctors and specialists will provide free consultations, medicines, and the aforementioned diagnostic tests. The patients who need surgeries or other medical treatment will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to one of our panel hospitals. Under our food distribution program, our team handed out food packages to needy people in Punjab. Each food pack contained all the essentials a family needs to survive. Around 600 people in Deepalpur, Okara, benefited from this program in September 2022.

The patients were diagnosed with various health problems such as Hepatitis C, throat infection, seasonal allergies, coughing, asthma, ear pain, gastric diseases, cardiac diseases, liver issues, diabetes, blood pressure, kidney pain, respiratory diseases, gynecological problems, and body pains. 

Preventive Healthcare Session

A doctor held a preventive healthcare session for all attendees at the medical camp. The doctor briefed the attendees to raise awareness about diabetes and discussed its symptoms, causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. 

Impact 

This free medical camp and food distribution program made a difference in the lives of 1920 deprived and needy people.
