You Can Help Ayesha Hear Again
Ayesha Javed's Story
Ayesha Javed, a 17-year-old girl from Abbottabad, has been facing the challenges of hearing loss since her early days. At the age of five, she was diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss and was fitted with a hearing aid that helped her develop speech and communication skills. However, as she has grown older, her current hearing device is worn out and no longer functioning properly. Her doctor has advised her to replace it with a new hearing aid so she can continue hearing, learning, and communicating effectively. Without a new hearing aid, Ayesha will struggle to communicate, learn, and understand conversations. Moreover, it will negatively affect her quality of life. However, the cost of the hearing aid is far beyond what her family can manage.
Ayesha belongs to a humble family of five living in a rented house in a rural area of Abbottabad. Her father works as a waiter in a restaurant and earns only PKR 32,000 per month. As the sole breadwinner, he struggles to support the family while managing utility bills, educational expenses, daily household needs, and a loan. Meeting even basic necessities has become increasingly difficult, and they’re unable to pay for a new hearing aid. Facing these hardships, Ayesha’s family turned to Transparent Hands.
With tears in his eyes, Ayesha’s father shared:
“My daughter has worked incredibly hard to overcome her difficulties. Watching her struggle again because we cannot afford a new hearing aid breaks my heart. I only wish for her to live with confidence. Kindly help her hear once more.”
Your generosity can help Ayesha live a happy life without the barriers created by hearing loss. Every donation, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to speaking with her family and friends, and embracing a future filled with opportunities.
