Ensure a Safe Childbirth for Aqeela with a C-Section

Aqeela Tariq's Story
Aqeela Tariq, a 36-year-old woman from Dera Ghazi Khan, is over 33 weeks pregnant. She is eagerly waiting to welcome her fourth child into the world. With each passing day, her joy is overshadowed by deep anxiety. Recently, Aqeela went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. Due to her history of three C-sections, her doctor has advised an elective C-section. However, the cost of the C-section is out of her family’s financial capacity.
Without proper surgical intervention, both her and the baby’s life would be in danger. She may face severe complications including uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and potential harm to her baby.
Aqeela is a housewife, dedicating all her time and energy to taking care of her home and children. Her husband, a daily wage laborer, earns only PKR 30,000 per month. With three children to support, every rupee goes towards food, rent, and other essential expenses. There is simply no way for them to save enough money for the C-section. The burden of this helplessness is overwhelming for Aqeela who only wishes for a safe and healthy birth for her child. With no other option, Aqeela has turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
With tears in her eyes, she shared:
“I have carried this child with love and care for months. Now the time has come, but I am afraid. I just want a safe delivery for my baby but my husband cannot afford the surgery. Please help me bring my child into this world safely.”
Aqeela’s life and the well-being of her baby depend on the C-section. With your kindness, we can ensure a safe delivery for her and bring comfort to a struggling family. She relies on your generosity and desperately asks for help.

Aqeela Tariq's Story
Aqeela Tariq, a 36-year-old woman from Dera Ghazi Khan, was approaching the end of her pregnancy. Aqeela was expecting her fourth child, and her heart was filled with both excitement and concern for her baby’s safe arrival. With a history of three previous C-sections, she understood the potential risks. During a follow-up visit, her gynecologist confirmed that a C-section would once again be necessary to ensure the safety of both the mother and baby. However, the significant cost of the C-section was out of her family’s reach.
Aqeela lived in a modest home with her husband and three young children. Her husband, the sole provider for the family, worked hard as a daily wage laborer but made just PKR 30,000 per month. A significant portion of their income was used for food expenses and utility bills. They had no savings at all to pay for Aqeela’s C-section. Aqeela was afraid that she may lose her baby. No mother should ever have to choose between covering basic living expenses and affording a safe childbirth. After struggling for a while, Aqeela and her husband reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help. After knowing about her condition, we promptly registered her case.
On February 25, 2025, Aqeela was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital in Multan. Her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Asif. The procedure went smoothly and Aqeela gave birth to a baby boy. After receiving post-operative care, Aqeela was discharged in satisfactory condition on February 27, 2025.
Aqeela Tariq expressed her happiness as follows:
“I can’t believe I am holding my newborn baby in my arms. Before the C-section, I couldn’t even sleep properly, thinking that the cost of the C-section was beyond my husband’s financial capacity. After the surgery, I feel happier and more hopeful. You gave me the greatest gift – a life full of happiness.”
Aqeela is now recovering well and is living her life to the fullest with her children, including her newborn.
Your support has brought hope and relief to Aqeela’s family. They extend their immense gratitude to you for making a valuable impact on her family.
