Give Musarat a Chance to Beat Breast Cancer

Musarat Jahan's Story
Musarat Jahan, a 60-year-old woman from Karachi, has been experiencing a growing lump in her right breast for the past one year. At first, she hoped it was nothing serious. As the days passed, the lump grew in size and brought pain and discomfort. Concerned, she visited the doctor, where she underwent multiple tests. After a detailed evaluation, Musarat was diagnosed with right-sided breast cancer. The only way to save her life now is through a right-sided Modified Radical Mastectomy. Unfortunately, her family can’t afford the surgery.
If she does not get the surgery, the cancer will continue to spread to other parts of her body. Her chances of survival may decrease, leaving her husband and children helpless.
Musarat lives in a modest rented home with her husband and two children. Her husband is a laborer, working hard to provide for the family. Their son also works as a laborer, and together, they manage to earn just PKR 45,000 per month. However, with a monthly rent of PKR 16,000 and utility bills of PKR 2000, their income barely covers their basic needs. They have no savings to afford the expensive surgery, yet they are desperate to save Musarat’s life. During this time of need, Musarat contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
With a heavy heart, Musarat shared her emotions as follows:
“I have spent my life taking care of my family. Now, when I need help, I feel helpless. I do not want my children to see me suffer like this. I just want to get better and live to see my family happy again. Kindly support my surgery.”
Musarat’s life can be saved, but she needs your support. She has fought bravely until now, but she cannot win this battle alone. Only you can provide her with the opportunity to recover from a life-threatening disease.
Let’s stand together and be a source of healing during Musarat’s time of need.

Musarat Jahan's Story
Musarat Jahan, a 60-year-old woman from Karachi, had been experiencing a growing lump in her right breast for the past year. With time, the lump became more painful and continued to increase in size. It disrupted her sleep, daily routine, and overall peace of mind. Realizing it was no longer something she could ignore, Musarat visited a nearby hospital. After a thorough medical examination and a series of diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with right-sided breast cancer. The doctor advised her to undergo a right-sided Modified Radical Mastectomy (MRM) to cure the disease. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond her reach.
Musarat lived in a small rented house with her husband and two children. Her husband and son both worked as laborers, managing to bring in a combined monthly income of only PKR 45,000. With this limited amount, they struggled to meet basic household needs and could not afford the cost of her surgery. Desperate for help, Musarat turned to Transparent Hands. Her case was registered, and with the help of generous donors, her surgery was arranged.
On March 11, 2025, Musarat was admitted to Bait-ul-Sukoon Cancer Hospital, Karachi. Her Modified Radical Mastectomy was successfully performed by Dr. Urooj Abbasi. With proper care and a smooth recovery, she was discharged in stable condition on March 15, 2025.
With a heart full of gratitude, Musarat said:
"I was afraid I wouldn’t survive. However, your support gave me a new chance at life. I can’t express how thankful I am to you for standing by me during this critical time. Thanks for being there for me!”
With your kind donations, Musarat has overcome the darkest phase of her life. With her health restored, she looks forward to spending many more cherished moments with her family. Her family is immensely grateful to you for making a significant difference in her life.
