Bushra Awaits a C-Section to Deliver Her Baby Safely
Bushra Abdullah's Story
Bushra Abdullah, a 33-year-old woman from Tando Muhammad Khan, Sindh, is preparing to welcome a new life into the world. She is over 28 weeks pregnant and she recently visited her doctor for a routine check-up. Given her medical history of three previous C-sections, the doctor strongly advised her to undergo another C-section to ensure a safe delivery for both her and her baby. However, the cost of the C-section is out of her family’s reach.
As the days pass, Bushra’s worries grow. She knows that without the C-section, she and her baby may face serious risks. A natural delivery after multiple C-sections can lead to dangerous complications such as uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and fetal distress.
Bushra lives in a small house with her husband and two school-going children. Her husband works as a security guard at a private firm, earning a modest salary of 35,000 PKR per month. While he works hard to provide for his family, his income barely covers their daily expenses. They pay PKR 3600 for children’s school fees and PKR 3000 for utility bills. Despite his best efforts, Bushra’s husband simply does not have the means to afford the cost of her life-saving surgery.
Her husband, overwhelmed by the situation, shared his concerns as follows
“I have always done my best to provide for my family, but the cost of this surgery is beyond my reach. All I want is for my wife and child to be safe, but I feel helpless. Please help us during this difficult time.”

Bushra Abdullah's Story
Bushra Abdullah, a 33-year-old woman from Tando Muhammad Khan, Sindh, was preparing to welcome her third child into the world. When she learned about her pregnancy, she visited her doctor for a routine check-up. Given her medical history of three previous C-sections, the doctor strongly recommended another elective C-section to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. However, the cost of the C-section was overwhelming for her family.
Bushra lived in a two-room brick house with her husband and three children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a security guard in a private firm and earns just PKR 35,000 per month. A significant portion of his income went towards utility bills and children’s school fees. The cost of Bushra’s C-section was something that her family couldn’t afford. Despite the emotional and physical stress of pregnancy, Bushra remained hopeful. She dreamed of holding her newborn safely in her arms, but the thought of not being able to afford the necessary medical care was heartbreaking. During this challenging time, Bushra reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance. After listening to her concerns, we promptly registered her case.
On April 16, 2025, Bushra was admitted to the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. Her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Raveesha Kumari. Bushra gave birth to a healthy baby boy. After receiving post-operative care, she was discharged from the hospital in satisfactory condition.
Bushra expressed her joy as follows:
“I was so worried about the cost of the surgery and the safety of my baby. However, your support gave me peace and strength. Today, I am holding my son in my arms because of you. I am deeply thankful to you for helping me bring my son safely into this world.”
Bushra’s life has been filled with joy again. She is recovering well and enjoying precious moments with her newborn.
