Muhammad Shabbir's Story

Muhammad Shabbir, a 41-year-old man from Sialkot, has been suffering from pain due to a lump in his lower abdomen. What began as mild discomfort has now turned into a swollen mass in his left inguinoscrotal region. Day by day, the swelling increases, making even the simplest tasks like bending or lifting unbearable. Shabbir went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After undergoing medical evaluation, Shabbir was diagnosed with a left inguinal hernia. It is a bulge in the groin area caused by tissue or an organ pushing through a weak spot in the abdominal wall. His doctor strongly advised a left inguinal herniorrhaphy to relieve his pain and prevent further complications. However, Shabbir can’t afford to pay for his surgery.

Not undergoing the surgery may lead to serious complications such as a strangulated hernia, where the blood supply to the intestine is cut off. This may cause severe pain, infection, and potentially life-threatening damage to his intestines, requiring emergency surgery.

Shabbir works at a local factory, earning just PKR 35,000 per month. He lives in a modest home with his wife and four young daughters who are all currently studying in a government school. Every month, a large portion of his income goes towards educational expenses (PKR 10,000) and utility bills (PKR 3000). Additionally, Shabbir is burdened with a debt of PKR 100,000. Despite his commitment to providing for his daughters and ensuring they receive an education, his growing hernia has severely affected his ability to work efficiently. Every day without treatment adds to his suffering. Financially overwhelmed, Shabbir is left with no option but to seek help.

Shabbir expressed his heartfelt plea as follows:

“I have always worked hard to provide for my family, but this illness has affected me badly. I just want relief now, but I don’t have enough money to pay for this surgery. Kindly help me during this difficult time.”

Let’s join hands to help Muhammad Shabbir regain his health and dignity. Your donations can make a valuable impact on his life.

Muhammad Shabbir's Story

Muhammad Shabbir, a 41-year-old resident of Sialkot, was living in constant pain due to a lump that developed in his lower abdomen. With time, his minor discomfort gradually turned into a prominent swelling in his left inguinoscrotal region. Whether bending down, walking, or lifting something, every movement brought him intense pain and discomfort. Worried about the worsening symptoms, Shabbir visited a local hospital where he consulted a specialist. After a thorough clinical evaluation and diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with a left inguinal hernia. The only way to correct this condition and prevent further complications was through left inguinal herniorrhaphy. However, the cost of the surgery was overwhelming for Shabbir.

Shabbir works at a local factory and earns only PKR 35,000 per month. With a wife and four young daughters to support, all his limited income is already stretched thin. He barely covers food, utility bills, and basic household expenses. His daughters are studying in a government school. Due to his financial constraints, he was unable to pay for his much-needed surgery. During his search for help, Shabbir turned to Transparent Hands. After listening to his concerns, we promptly registered his case.

With the support of kind-hearted donors, Shabbir was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital on April 15, 2025. Dr. Ahmed Fawad successfully performed the herniorrhaphy. The surgery went smoothly, and Shabbir was discharged in stable condition from the hospital on April 16, 2025.

With tears of happiness in his eyes, Shabbir said:

"I can’t describe my happiness in words. The pain that had taken over my life is finally gone. With your support, I can now live a happy and healthy life.”

Now free from pain, Shabbir has regained his strength and courage. His family is thankful to you for making this life-changing surgery possible for Shabbir.

You have replaced his pain with healing, turned his suffering into comfort, and brought peace to his heart.
