Empower Sameena Dawood with a C-section

Sameena Dawood's Story
Sameena Dawood, a 37-year-old woman from Karachi, is about to deliver her fifth child. She is 37 weeks pregnant, and as time passes, her heart is filled with extreme concerns. Sameena is a mother of four and has a history of one C-section for childbirth. This has made it difficult for her gynecologist to proceed with a vaginal delivery as it can cause various complications. She has advised Sameena to undergo a C-section for a safe childbirth. However, the cost of the C-section is beyond her family’s reach.
A C-section is necessary for the safety of Sameena and her baby. Otherwise, it may lead to various complications such as excessive bleeding, obstructed labor, and fetal distress. These can put both Sameena’s and her child’s lives in danger.
Sameena lives in a small home with her husband and four children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, is a driver and brings in just PKR 35,000 per month. A significant portion of their income goes towards utility bills, amounting to PKR 5000, as well as educational expenses of PKR 1000 every month. It leaves them with nothing to save for emergencies. Sameena’s husband is scared of what might happen if she doesn’t undergo the C-section. Unfortunately, the cost of the C-section is something that they can’t afford on their own.
Sameena Dawood said in despair:
“It’s difficult for me to spend each day thinking about what would happen if I don’t undergo the life-saving C-section. My doctor has strongly advised a C-section, but it’s costly and my husband can’t afford to pay for it. I request you to kindly help me in bringing my child into this world safely.”
Sameena is counting on your kindness. She is approaching the end of her pregnancy, but her heart is overshadowed by concerns. Sameena deserves to undergo a safe C-section, and only you can fill her home with happiness.

Sameena Dawood's Story
Sameena Dawood, a 37-year-old woman from Karachi, faced immense challenges when she was about to deliver her fifth child. She had a history of one C-section for childbirth and four children. After learning about her pregnancy, she went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. Given her history of a C-section, her gynecologist strongly recommended another C-section for safe delivery. However, the cost of the C-section was beyond her financial capacity.
Sameena lived in her brother-in-law’s home with her husband and four children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, worked as a driver and earned just PKR 35,000 per month. A significant portion of his income went towards covering their utility bills as well as educational expenses. Due to their financial limitations, they were unable to pay for Sameena’s much-needed C-section. During this challenging time, Sameena contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help. Moved by her plea, we registered her case.
With the support of kind-hearted donors, Sameena was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi on June 11, 2025. Her surgery took place on June 12, 2025. Dr. Samreen Zeeshan expertly performed her C-section, and Sameena gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She received essential post-operative care and was discharged in good health on June 14, 2025.
Sameena’s eyes were filled with tears when she held her newborn in her arms. She described her happiness as follows:
“I can’t believe that my child is safe now. Before this C-section, I was extremely worried and scared. Your support came at the perfect time and enabled me to undergo a safe C-section. I am grateful to you for your generous support during my time of need.”
Sameena is now recovering and looks forward to spending a happy life with her children, including her newborn. Her family is deeply grateful to you.
