Muhammad Musa, a 1-year-old boy from Okara, has been facing serious health challenges since birth. His parents noticed early on that he had trouble breathing, especially during feeding or crying. His skin would often turn bluish, and even light physical activity left him gasping for air. Worried about his condition, Musa’s parents took him to a doctor. After performing a detailed examination, the doctor diagnosed Musa with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a complex congenital heart defect that involves four heart abnormalities. The doctor advised an open-heart surgery for total correction to repair the defects in his heart. However, his family can’t afford his surgery.

If Musa doesn’t undergo the surgery in time, he is at risk of severe oxygen deprivation, heart failure, and other life-threatening complications. His condition will only worsen, making day-to-day survival increasingly difficult.

Musa lives in a modest home provided by his grandfather, along with his parents and one sibling. His father works as a salesman at an electronics shop and earns just PKR 30,000 per month. With this meager income, they pay utility bills amounting to PKR 6,000 and educational expenses amounting to PKR 6,000. After covering these expenses, the family is left with very little to manage other expenses. During this challenging time, Musa has reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.

Musa’s parents said in despair:

“Every time Musa struggles to breathe, it feels like our world stops. He’s just a baby, yet he’s already battling so much. We want to give him a normal life, but we can’t afford the treatment he needs. Please, help us heal our son’s heart.”
