Muhammad Usman's Story

Muhammad Usman, a 2-year-old boy from Sargodha, has been struggling with shortness of breath and chest discomfort since birth. He experiences an unusual bluish tint to his skin and lips—a condition known as cyanosis. His parents have watched helplessly as their only child tires quickly while playing or climbing. Concerned about his worsening symptoms, Usman’s parents consulted a doctor. After performing detailed diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed Usman with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a complex congenital heart defect that affects the flow of oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the rest of the body. To treat this condition and improve Usman’s health, the doctor has recommended TOF Repair surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s means.

Without surgical intervention, Usman’s condition may deteriorate rapidly. He is at risk of developing severe hypoxia, heart failure, and delayed physical and mental development.

Usman lives in a small house with his four family members. His father works as a security guard, earning just PKR 25,000 per month. The family’s basic expenses, including utility bills of PKR 2,000 and food expenses, leave little room for savings. Affording the high cost of a major cardiac surgery is challenging for them. During this time of despair, Usman’s family contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.

Usman’s father expressed his heartfelt plea as follows:

“My son is so young, yet he suffers so much. This surgery is our only hope. As a father, I feel helpless, knowing I can’t afford his surgery. I don’t want to lose Usman. Therefore, I ask you to be kind and contribute for my son’s surgery.”

Your kindness can make a life-changing difference for Usman. With your support, he can undergo heart surgery and step into a healthier future. Let’s stand together and heal his little heart.
