Restore Fahad’s Vision with Cataract Surgery

Fahad Mursalin's Story
Fahad Mursalin, a 7-year-old boy from Muzaffargarh, is struggling with poor vision that affects nearly every part of his daily life. He experiences dimness and blurriness in his right eye, making it extremely difficult for him to see clearly and play like other children of his age. Worried about their son’s worsening condition, Fahad’s parents took him to a nearby hospital for a medical consultation. After a comprehensive eye examination, the doctor diagnosed him with a cataract in the right eye. It is a condition where the eye’s natural lens becomes cloudy, leading to impaired vision. To restore Fahad’s vision, the doctor recommended a surgical procedure known as right eye Phacoemulsification with Intraocular Lens (Phaco + IOL) implantation.
Fahad’s condition is growing worse with time. If he does not undergo surgery soon, the cataract may lead to complete vision loss in his right eye.
Fahad lives with his parents and two siblings in their one-room brick house. His father works as a laborer, earning a monthly income of only PKR 30,000, which is barely enough to meet their household expenses. He is the sole breadwinner of the family, and despite working hard, he cannot manage the financial burden of his son’s eye surgery. During this difficult time, Fahad’s family contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Fahad’s parents expressed their plea as follows:
“We can’t see our son struggle to see the world clearly. His poor vision makes even the simplest tasks difficult for him, and he even avoids playing outside with his friends. As parents, we want nothing more than to restore his sight, but we simply don’t have the means. We humbly ask for your help.”
Fahad dreams of living a normal, active life like other children. Your kind donations can help bring light back into his life.
Let’s join hands to ensure Fahad’s recovery from his impaired vision.
