Change Safina Kosar’s Life with Hysterectomy

Safina Kosar's Story
Meet Safina Kosar, a 38-year-old woman from Lahore, who has been suffering from heavy menstrual bleeding and irregular cycles. They leave her drained, both physically and emotionally. Her days are filled with fatigue and discomfort, while her nights are often sleepless due to persistent pain. These struggles prevent her from maintaining a normal routine, and the constant blood loss has left her feeling weak.
Concerned about her worsening symptoms, Safina recently consulted a doctor at a nearby hospital. After performing an ultrasound scan and essential lab investigations, the doctor diagnosed her with Uterine Fibroids, which refers to noncancerous growths developing in the uterus, along with an ovarian cyst, a fluid-filled sac that can cause further complications. Given the severity of her condition, her doctor strongly recommended a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy (TAH), a surgery necessary to remove her uterus and address these issues before they worsen.
Unfortunately, Safina’s family is in no position to manage the surgical expenses. She is unmarried and lives with her parents and three sisters. They are entirely dependent on their elderly father, who earns a modest monthly income of PKR 35,000. With this amount, he barely covers utility bills amounting to PKR 7,000, groceries, and other household needs. Already struggling to meet basic expenses, they simply cannot afford the high cost of Safina’s operation.
Safina shared her plea with us as follows:
“I try to stay strong despite the constant pain, but it’s becoming harder each day. My family can’t afford this surgery. You have the power to end my suffering.”
Without this crucial procedure, Safina’s condition will deteriorate further. It may lead to severe anemia, worsening pelvic pain, and additional complications. Moreover, these fibroids can grow and may develop into cancer.
Your support can restore her health and allow her to live with dignity and strength. Give charity today and help her undergo the much-needed surgery.
