Noshaba Akram's Story
Noshaba, 15 years old, presented with doubly committed ventricular septal defect (DCSAVSD) and Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). She was advised surgery to correct these defects. She was prepared well for this surgery, which was done on 16- 03- 20, at the University of Lahore teaching hospital, by Dr. Salman A Shah. Her TOF repair, VSD closure, and RVOT resection were successfully done. She recovered from surgery but later on developed low cardiac output syndrome. She was resuscitated and responded well after intubation & ventilation for some time. Unfortunately, she suddenly progressed to cardiac arrest later. Despite maximal medical management, she was unable to recover and passed away on 18-03-20.
