Ibadat Ali Lost His Battle Against Life
Ibadat Ali's Story
Ibadat, a four-year-old resident of Bahawalnagar, has been experiencing shortness of breath and cyanosis since birth, along with an inability to gain weight. His parents became aware of his condition when he was one year old and promptly took him to a local hospital for evaluation. After undergoing diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a congenital heart condition. The recommended course of treatment was angiography followed by Open-Heart Surgery for complete correction.
Due to their limited financial means, with the father earning a monthly income of PKR 18,000, the family was unable to bear the cost of the surgery on their own. They approached Transparent Hands, an organization they placed their hope in, seeking assistance.
With the generous support of donors, Ibadat was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, where Dr. Jamal operated on September 21, 2023. On the day of the surgery, Ibadat’s parents experienced a mix of emotions, including anxiety, fear, and a profound sense of anticipation. The wait for news about their son felt agonizingly long, with each passing second seemingly stretching into eternity. Finally, the operation was completed, but as time wore on, the unfortunate reality became evident.
Despite the meticulous efforts of the doctors and the excellent care provided in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for two days, Ibadat’s heart condition could not be restored. This outcome dealt a devastating blow to his parents, leaving them with an indescribable pain. They had fought with every ounce of their strength, only to have their hopes shattered and their dreams for their beloved daughter slip away.
Tragically, Ibadat passed away on September 23, 2023, following a sudden cardiopulmonary arrest. The weight of their grief was immeasurable as his parents mourned the loss of their precious son—a cherished soul whose absence would forever leave an irreplaceable void in their lives. Ibadat Ali, a shining example of love and innocence, will be deeply missed.
