Muhammad Shan's Story

Muhammad Shan, an 18- year-old resident of Bahawalpur, had suffered from shortness of breath and cyanosis since birth. He was unable to gain weight due to this heart defect. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. The cardiac surgeon advised open-heart surgery for the Rastelli procedure. He was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, and his operation was performed by Dr. Salman on 13-09-2022. Unfortunately, his heart function could not be restored after the surgery.

Despite all our best efforts with perfect ICU care, he could not recover and passed away from cardiopulmonary arrest on 19-09-2022. Muhammad Shan will be missed dearly.
