Mustaqeem Ali's Story

Mustaqeem Ali, a six-year-old boy, was born with genital malformation. He was born with an abnormally narrow back passage. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with Anorectal Malformation. Mustaqeem’s parents were advised to get his PSARP Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty done. Hence, he was sent to Lahore Care Hospital for this procedure. His surgery was carried out by Dr. Bilal on 31-12-2021. In his post-operative course, he had respiratory collapse which was managed with re-intubation and resuscitation in the ICU. Despite providing him with the best possible medical facilities, Mustaqeem could not be revived. The doctors tried their best but they were unable to save Mustaqeem Ali. He will be dearly missed.
