Unfortunately, Adoon couldn’t survive after surgery
Adoon Hussain's Story
Adoon Hussain 36 days old male infant was born with Meningocele and Hydrocephalus. He was advised surgery for both of his conditions one after another. His first surgery to repair the meningocele was done by Dr Babar Butt in Akram Medical Complex. He recovered well and was discharged after 6 days of hospital stay in good condition. His wound got infected and he was admitted again in hospital for wound care. He was treated successfully and got completely well in another 6 days of his hospital stay when he was discharged again. He was waiting for his second surgery to insert the VP shunt for hydrocephalus, but unfortunately his condition deteriorated. He suffered from severe meningitis, all of our best efforts could not save him from dire consequences of the disease and he expired.
