Aaryan Ali 's Story

The simple act of implanting a cochlear device could change Aaryan’s life forever. Without the surgery, he won’t be able to hear his surroundings, which will hinder his ability to learn and communicate. His silence has shattered his family. Aaryan awaits cochlear implant surgery; therefore, we urge you to donate and give him the opportunity to function well in life.

Five-year-old Aaryan, a resident of Muzaffarabad, has been suffering from congenital sensorineural hearing loss. His parents noticed something was wrong when he was one year old and wasn’t responding to their voices. His parents took him to the local hospital, where his tests were done. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with sensorineural deafness. The doctor advised him to undergo cochlear implant surgery. A cochlear implant uses electrical stimulation of the cochlear nerve to restore hearing. There are external and internal components to the implant. The external part is attached behind the ear. It processes the sounds with a microphone before sending them to the implant inside the body.

He lives with his parents and three siblings. His father is the sole provider for the family and earns a monthly salary of PKR 20,000. Unfortunately, he cannot afford the surgery and is in dire need of financial assistance. Although his limited income cannot cover the cost of the procedure, he does not wish to leave Aaryan trapped in a silent world. His father expressed distress in the following words.

“I am deeply worried that my child may not have the chance to gain a lot of important opportunities in life due to my inability to gather sufficient funds for his cochlear implant surgery. I implore you to step up and make a donation today so that my child can receive the necessary medical treatment and thrive in the future.”

Someone informed his parents about Transparent Hands and the causes we support, and they contacted us for a financial gift. Now, all that is required of you is a small donation as Aaryan awaits cochlear implant surgery to allow him to live his life to the fullest.

Aaryan Ali 's Story

Five-year-old Aaryan, a resident of Muzaffarabad, had been suffering from congenital sensorineural hearing loss. His parents noticed this and took him to the hospital for a consultation when he was a year old. After a thorough evaluation and some diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with sensorineural hearing loss. The doctor advised him to undergo cochlear implant surgery. Unfortunately, his family was not in a stable financial situation to pay for the surgery. They contacted Transparent Hands for financial assistance.

Aryan was admitted to the Ali Medical Center, Islamabad, where Dr. Jawwad skillfully performed the cochlear implant surgery on 06-06-2023. The doctor was able to fix the cochlear implant's internal component, and the procedure was successful. He was discharged from the hospital after two days. However, before his hearing was fully recovered, he still had a long way to go. After a few weeks, he visited the hospital again, where the cochlear implant's external component was fixed, enabling him to experience the world of sound.

The doctor advised Aaryan to seek consultation from professional speech therapists to help him improve his language and communication abilities. Through speech therapy, he will be able to appreciate language in all its richness and nuance. His cochlear implant serves as a gateway to the auditory world, allowing him to hear for the first time and paving the way to better education, more meaningful relationships, and a more fulfilling life. The implant allows him to take an active role in conversations, making him feel more at home in social gatherings.

Thanks to the generous contributions of donors and their invaluable support, Aryan and his family could not afford this life-altering operation. Their heartfelt gratitude will remain in Aryan’s heart for years to come as it is possible for him to gain the gift of hearing, a transformation that will positively impact his life.
