Afsha Riaz's Story

Afsha Riaz, a 27-year-old woman from Khanewal, is expecting the arrival of her third child. She has already undergone three C-section deliveries in the past. Due to her obstetric history, her gynecologist has advised an elective C-section for the safe delivery of her baby. This surgical procedure is essential to avoid life-threatening complications that can arise during a normal delivery.

Without the recommended C-section, Afsha is at high risk of uterine rupture, severe bleeding, and fetal distress. Any delay in surgery can put both her life and her unborn baby’s life in danger. However, her family is unable to afford the cost of the procedure.

Afsha is a housewife and depends entirely on her husband, who works as a daily wage laborer. He earns just PKR 25,000 per month, which barely covers their daily household needs. The couple has two young children to raise, and their financial condition is already stretched thin. On top of their everyday expenses, they are burdened by a loan of PKR 200,000, and their utility bills amount to PKR 800 per month. Their modest income cannot support the high expenses of a surgical delivery. The fear of losing her baby due to financial constraints weighs heavily on Afsha’s heart. She dreams of holding her newborn safely in her arms, but this dream feels distant without timely medical intervention.

Afsha expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:

“I’ve gone through childbirth before, but this time, things are different. The cost of the C-section is beyond our reach, and I fear for my baby’s safety. Kindly help me get the much-needed surgery.”

Transparent Hands is determined to help Afsha receive a safe C-section. With your kind donations, we can cover her surgical expenses and ensure a safe delivery for both the mother and child.

Let’s not allow financial hardships to endanger two precious lives. Donate now and become the reason this mother and child survive and thrive.
