Ali Abbas, a one-and-a-half-year-old resident of Matiari, was suffering from a birth defect. He had an additional hole between the anas and testis. He was also passing urine through this abnormal opening. They went to a local clinic first where the doctor gave him medicines, but the treatment didn’t relieve his suffering. After another thorough checkup, the doctor diagnosed him with Hypospadias.

Hypospadias is a birth defect in boys. The opening of the urethra (the tube that carries urine from the bladder) is not located at the usual location which leads to various problems. To treat this condition, the doctor advised Ali Abbas to undergo Hypospadias repair. Hypospadias repair is the surgery to treat Hypospadias.

Unfortunately, Ali Abbas’ parents cannot afford the hefty cost of the surgery. His father is a laborer and earns just PKR 10,000 monthly. He hardly manages to make both ends meet. Ali Abbas’ father said:

Ali Abbas's Story

One-and-a-half-year-old Ali Abbas, a resident of Matiari, Sindh, was suffering from abnormal urethral opening since birth. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with hypospadias and the doctor advised him to undergo Hypospadias repair surgery. He was admitted to Isra Hospital, Hyderabad, where his operation was performed successfully by Dr. Rajab Ali on 09-06-2022. He was discharged in satisfactory condition after four days of stay in the hospital. He has recovered now.
