Anabia awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery
Anabia Bibi's Story
Anabia awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery. Anabia is a beautiful child but her smile is wiped off due to her disability. You can help Anabia regain her smile by donating for her cochlear implant. No matter how little your donation is, it can help an innocent soul. So please, donate generously for Anabia’s cochlear implant
Anabia, aged 4 years, a resident of Dera Ismail Khan, has been suffering from hearing loss since her birth. Her parents came to know about her disability one year after her birth. Then her parents took her to the hospital. After several tests, the doctor diagnosed her with sensorineural hearing loss. Sensorineural hearing loss, or SNHL, happens when there is an inner ear defect or the nerve pathways from inner ear to the brain are affected. The doctor advised her of the cochlear implant. Now, cochlear implant surgery is the only option for a permanent cure. A cochlear implant is a surgically implanted neuroprosthetic device that will give Anabia a modified sense of sound.
Unfortunately, Anabia’s father cannot pay the chunks of bills for her surgery. Her father is a laborer and the sole earner of the family. He merely earns PKR. 10,000 per month. With this little income and a family of 4 members to support, his father could not afford her surgery. Anabia’s father told us:
“It is my wish to see my girl respond to my voice. I often call her but she does not respond to my voice. This pains my heart. She is unaware of the beautiful sounds of the world. I wish that she could hear our voices.”
After a lot of distress, Anabia’s parents have registered her case with Transparent Hands. We wish to acquaint her with the world of sound as soon as possible. But, we need your help with that. As Anabia awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery, we urge you to please donate for Anabia’s cochlear implant surgery and help her unlock the world of sound.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.

Anabia Bibi's Story
Anabia, a four-year-old resident of Dera Ismail Khan, had sensorineural hearing loss since birth. In order to develop her sense of hearing, the doctors advised her to have cochlear implant surgery. Her operation was performed by Dr. Jawwad on 25-12-2021 at Ali Medical Complex, Rawalpindi. Her internal component of the Cochlear Implant was fixed. She recovered well from the procedure and was discharged after one day of hospital stay. She has been advised to follow up for fixation of the external component.
