Anusha Rizwan's Story

When Anusha Rizwan visited our office for the first time for registration of her case, she was smiling at everyone. At first, everyone thought that she was just the happiest little person in the entire room. But later his father told us that she was suffering from hearing loss and she can’t listen to our voices. That’s when we came to know that the smile was actually because of the cluelessness she was experiencing due to her inability to hear. Even imagining this situation is very painful. Therefore, we urge you to donate for Anusha Rizwan’s cochlear implant so she can smile knowingly.

Anusha Rizwan, aged 4 years, a resident of Lower Deer, was suffering from hearing loss since her birth but the parents came to know about this after one year when they felt that she was not responding to any sound. Her parents took her to the hospital and there, the doctors diagnosed her with sensorineural hearing loss. Sensorineural hearing loss, or SNHL, happens after inner ear damage. Problems with the nerve pathways from your inner ear to your brain can also cause SNHL. The doctors advised a cochlear implant for her condition.

A cochlear implant is the installation of an electronic device that helps generate the sense of sound. It is the best possible solution for Anusha’s condition but they cannot afford the chunks of bills for the surgery. Her father is a laborer with a small income of PKR. 15,000 per month. In these expensive times, feeding a family of seven members is very difficult. He can’t afford this surgery. Her father told us:

“She can’t hear your voices, she can’t hear our voices, she can’t even hear her own voice. Isn’t this a lot to bear for a 4 years old child? Even seeing her smile aches my heart because she is smiling because of her cluelessness. I just want my child to be free from this suffering. I hope Transparent Hands can help me.”

After a lot of distress, Anusha’s parents decided to register her case with Transparent Hands. We have assured her that we would try our best to arrange for her surgery. But, it is not possible without your help. Help us restore the smile on the face of this beautiful girl. Donate generously for Anusha Rizwan’s Cochlear Implant.
