Abdul Baseer, a bright and innocent 4-year-old resident of Tando Muhammad Khan, has been confined to a world of silence since the day he entered this world. His loved ones have watched with heavy hearts as he struggled to learn and communicate without the precious gift of hearing. Every day, Abdul Baseer’s family witnesses the profound impact of his silence. They yearn to hear his laughter, his voice calling out their names, and the joyous sound of his footsteps echoing through their home. His parents, burdened with sadness, know that their precious child is missing out on the simple joys that others take for granted.

Abdul Baseer was diagnosed with congenital sensorineural hearing loss when he was just one year old. His parents noticed his unresponsiveness to their voices and immediately sought medical help. After undergoing tests and consultations, it was determined that a cochlear implant surgery would be the best course of action to restore his hearing and provide him with a chance at a normal life.

At the age of 4, Abdul faced the challenge of sensorineural hearing loss, a condition that prevented him from fully experiencing the joys of hearing. However, Abdul and his family were determined to overcome this obstacle and sought the expertise of the medical professionals at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Gambat.

On the 8th of December 2023, a day filled with hope and anticipation, Abdul was admitted to the hospital. The stage was set for a life-changing surgical procedure that would open doors to a world of sound. Under the skilled hands of the renowned surgeon, Dr. Maqbool Ahmed, Abdul underwent a revolutionary right-sided cochlear implant surgery. This pioneering procedure utilized a cutting-edge cochlear, specifically designed to restore hearing function in individuals with sensorineural hearing loss.

The surgery was a resounding success, and Abdul’s world was forever transformed. After receiving attentive care and a brief period of recovery, Abdul’s condition improved significantly. On the 10th of December 2023, with a heart full of gratitude, Abdul was joyfully discharged from the hospital. .
