Muhammad Maaz's Story

Muhammad Maaz, a 5-year-old boy from Multan, has been struggling with poor vision since birth. His world has always been blurry, making it difficult for him to navigate his surroundings. He often bumps into objects while walking and finds it hard to recognize faces and play like other children of his age. Worried about his condition, his parents took him to a local hospital where they consulted a doctor. After a thorough evaluation, Maaz was diagnosed with a cataract in his right eye. A cataract is a clouding of the eye’s lens. To restore his vision and improve his quality of life, the doctor has advised LMA+IOL surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s financial means.

The cataract has limited his ability to explore and enjoy his surroundings fully. If Maaz’s condition is left untreated, the cataract may slowly get worse. It will ultimately increase the risk of blindness.

Maaz lives in a small house with his family of four members. His father is the sole provider, working as a daily wage laborer and earning just PKR 30,000 per month. With this meager income, he struggles to cover basic household expenses, making it impossible to afford the cost of his son’s surgery. The financial burden weighs heavily on the family, leaving them feeling helpless as they watch their little boy struggle with impaired vision.

Maaz’s parents shared their concerns:

“As parents, our biggest wish is to see our child happy and healthy. It breaks our hearts to see him struggle with something we cannot fix on our own. We desperately need your support to enable Maaz to see clearly and have a fulfilling future.”

Maaz’s dreams and potential should not be held back by a condition that is treatable. Your generosity can help him regain his vision and experience the joys of childhood without limitations. Let’s join hands to bring light into Maaz’s life. Every contribution matters.

Muhammad Maaz's Story

Muhammad Maaz, a 5-year-old boy from Multan, had been facing visual impairment since birth. His condition limited his ability to engage in sports and connect with friends, impacting his development. Concerned about his well-being, his parents received medical advice at a local hospital. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Maaz with a cataract in his left eye. To restore his vision and improve his quality of life, the doctor recommended Left LMA (Lens Matter Aspiration) + IOL (Intraocular Lens) implantation surgery. However, the cost of the procedure was far beyond the family's financial means.

Maaz lived in a humble home with his parents and two siblings. His father, the sole breadwinner, worked hard as a laborer and earned just PKR 30,000 per month. A major portion of this income went toward basic living costs, including utility bills and food. Saving for a costly medical procedure was out of the question. His parents were heartbroken and feared that their child would continue to live in darkness. At this crucial point, they discovered Transparent Hands and reached out for help. Moved by their story, we immediately registered Maaz’s case.

On March 25, 2025, Maaz was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital in Multan. The next day, on March 26, 2025, Dr. Safeez Shahbaz performed the delicate eye surgery successfully. Maaz was discharged on the same day in stable condition.

Maaz’s parents shared their joy and gratitude as follows:

“Our son is now able to see clearly, and it’s all because of your support. This surgery has changed everything. Maaz now looks at the world with excitement and curiosity. You gave him the gift of sight, and for that, we will be forever thankful.”

Your generosity has changed Maaz’s life. This incredible change would not have been possible without your support.

You have given Maaz a brighter future and brought new hope to his entire family.
