Meer Zadi's Story

Meer Zadi, a 48-year-old woman from Hub, Balochistan, has been suffering from discomfort for the past eight years. What began as occasional discomfort due to heavy menstrual bleeding gradually turned into an unbearable condition. She now faces irregular menstrual cycles, severe fatigue, and pain that has made even the simplest household tasks difficult. Recently, Meer Zadi visited a local hospital and consulted a doctor.

After a detailed evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with Endometrial Hyperplasia—a condition where the lining of the uterus becomes abnormally thick. Her doctor has recommended a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy to remove the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Unfortunately, the financial burden of the surgery is far beyond what Meer Zadi’s family can afford.

If not treated on time, her condition may worsen. It may lead to severe bleeding, infections, and possible damage to nearby organs. The longer she waits, the greater the risk to her health.

Meer Zadi lives in a small mud house with her husband and five children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, is a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 15,000 per month. This income is insignificant to support a large family of seven. After covering their utility bills and food expenses, they are left with nothing to save for Meer Zadi’s surgery. The family is surviving in extreme poverty, which is making it challenging for them to provide Meer Zadi with much-needed surgery.

With pain in her eyes, Meer Zadi said:

“All I want is to live without pain, and to care for my children again. However, this illness has taken away my strength, and we don’t have the means to treat it. I request you to kindly support me in undergoing the surgery.”

Meer Zadi has turned to Transparent Hands during her time of need. With your generosity, she can finally find relief from her years of suffering. Your support can bring her back to a healthy life where she can once again care for her family with strength and dignity.
