Muhammad Subhan's Story

Muhammad Subhan, a 3-year-old boy from Kasur, has never known what it feels like to play and run freely like other children. Since birth, Subhan has suffered from shortness of breath and chest discomfort. Even the smallest amount of physical activity, like walking a few steps or trying to play with other kids, leaves him gasping for air and turning blue. Worried about his constant struggle, his parents took him for a medical checkup. After running some tests and examining him thoroughly, the doctor diagnosed Subhan with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious congenital heart defect that affects the structure of the heart and reduces oxygen in the blood. The doctor has advised that Subhan first undergo an angiography, followed by open-heart surgery for total correction to fix this defect.

Without this surgery, his condition will continue to deteriorate. It may lead to severe complications, and Subhan will not be able to overcome the disease.

Subhan lives in his family’s modest home with his parents and one sibling. His father works hard as a laborer and earns just PKR 20,000 per month. This amount is barely enough to manage the daily expenses, pay their utility bills of PKR 1,200, and cover food for the family. To make matters more difficult, they carry a heavy loan of PKR 170,000, which adds to their stress. Given these financial struggles, they simply cannot afford the huge cost of their little boy’s critical heart surgery.

Seeing their young son suffer every day breaks their hearts. Subhan’s father said:

“My son struggles to breathe even when he’s just walking. It breaks my heart to watch him suffer like this. I want nothing more than to see him run and play like other kids. We truly need your help to give Subhan a healthy future.”

Your support can make all the difference in this little boy’s life. Give Sadaqah today and become the hope Subhan’s family desperately needs.
