Abdul Rehman's Story

Abdul Rehman is a 4 years old innocent boy who is residing in a small house in Lahore with his parents and 3 school going sisters. In their home, his five uncles and their families are also living. Abdul Reham’s parents have only one room in which they are barely managing to live. His father is a daily wager and earning around 700 rupees a day with which he hardly manages to make both ends meet.

Abdul Rehman is a born patient of Dermoid Cyst – a lump formed on the front of his forehead. It has increased in size with the passage of time. His parents took him to a hospital for treatment where they recommended surgery as this is the only solution to get rid of cyst. Abdul Rehman’s parents don’t have enough money to get him operated. They requested hospital for free of cost surgical treatment but they have put him on a long waiting list of 2 years. Even though Abdul Rehman doesn’t feel any pain with this disease, doctor has told his parents that it can be harmful for his life if it gets infected. He might face many complications such as infection extending to his brain.
