Areesha Adnan's Story
Fund for heart surgery of this innocent baby girl and save her life!
Areesha Adnan is a 1.9 years old baby girl who lives in a rural area of Chakwal with her mother and grandfather. Areesha is in dire need of Open Heart Surgery without which her life will remain at high risk. Areesha’s father has abandoned her and her mother due to some family dispute. Her mother now depends on Areesha’s grandfather who is managing their expenses through a small rental income.
Areesha was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD – a hole in wall separating the two lower chambers of heart) after 6 months of her birth. Due to meager income of her grandfather, they took her to many local hospitals in hope of free surgical treatment but nobody paid proper attention to them. Areesha experiences severe symptoms due to her heart defect including shortness of breath, cyanosis (skin turning blue) and frequent respiratory infections.
Doctors put her on medications but that could only relief her for some time. She now weeps often due to this sever discomfort. Cardiac surgeon has suggested an urgent open heart surgery for Areesha without which her life can be in danger. Luckily, they got to know about Transparent Hands through someone.
Areesha is now scheduled for Open Heart Surgery in a few days at Ittefaq Hospital. She is expected to live a healthy life and grow normally after her heart surgery, but it is not possible without your kind support. “Areesha is my only daughter. I want nothing but to see her healthy and happy like other kids”, says Areesha’s mother.
Donate for the heart surgery of this poor child and give her a new life.
