Donate Dua Fatima for her Open Heart Surgery
Dua Fatima's Story
Her parents are struggling to bring her back to life but they cannot let poverty come in their way
When Dua was born, one and half year ago, it was a moment of immense joy her family had waited for. Her parents and two elder sisters were thrilled to hold her in their arms. This brief period of joy did not last long. Dua was diagnosed with congenital heart defect ‘Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) – rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth (congenital)’. Her parents were devastated after hearing that their little daughter’s life is in serious danger. Doctor told them that open heart surgery is the only solution to heal her.
Dua’s parents took her to a few hospitals in hope of free surgical treatment but all went in vein. More than a year has passed but no doctor has given them any hope. A local hospital told them to wait for a few years after which Dua will be given free of cost surgical treatment. She cannot wait for that long as her health is deteriorating with each passing day. She is experiencing chest blockage, breathing difficulty and fever. Her body also turns blue because of her disease. Recently, a doctor has advised them to prepare Dua for urgent surgery otherwise it would be a great risk for her life.
Dua’s father doesn’t have enough money to get his daughter operated urgently. He runs a small shop in a village and hardly earns around 15,000 a month. With such meager income, he cannot pay for his daughter’s surgery. Fortunately, this family contacted Transparent Hands through someone and they were extremely happy to know that Dua will undergo free of cost surgical treatment at one of the best hospitals.
Dua is now scheduled for her open heart surgery in a few days at Ittefaq Hospital. Her surgery cannot be possible without your donations. As the holy month of Ramadan is approaching, we request you to please donate your charity and zakat for the surgery of this poor girl so that she can get rid of her disease and grow normally like other kids.
Donate and save her life!
