Fazeel Ahmed's Story

Fazeel is a 2.6 years old boy suffering from Hirschsprung disease – a critical medical condition where the child has difficulty in passing stools normally. At the age of 2, Fazeel had to undergo his colostomy surgery to create a temporary pouch for the evacuation of feces. Doctor advised his parents that Fazeel has to undergo 2 more surgeries for permanent relief. Fazeel went through emotional trauma as no kid wanted to play with him due to his stoma bag placed on his abdomen. His parents desperately looked for help for their child’s surgery but all went in vein.

His father is a driver earning only 16,000 PKR/ month. He is already burdened with the responsibility of his wife, 2 sons and his own 3 younger siblings. His whole family lives in a one-bedroom house in the village. In such circumstances, it was impossible for Fazeel’s father to bear his surgical expenses.

Later, they came to know about Transparent Hands and with their help, his Duhamel pull through was done at first stage. The surgery was successfully conducted in Akram Medical Complex by Dr. Naveed Haider with the help of your kind donations.

Now, Fazeel needs the final surgery of Ileostomy closure which will allow him to carry out his normal bodily functions naturally just like other children of his age.
