Abu Bakar's Story

Abu Bakar is suffering from an ailment that makes it hard for him to breathe. We can’t even imagine how much pain and difficulty he is facing right now. Therefore, we urge you to donate for Abu Bakar’s Septoplasty.

Abu Bakar, a 28-year-old resident of Karachi, has been in discomfort for a very long time. He has been enduring pain and discomfort while breathing for the last 16 years of his life. He is also experiencing nasal blockage for the last twelve years of his life. When he couldn’t take it any longer, he sought medical help at a public hospital, where he was treated symptomatically but received no relief. Abu Bakar was diagnosed with Deviated Nasal Septum after attending an ENT doctor (DNS). A deviated septum is a disease in which one of the nasal passages becomes narrow due to a crooked nasal septum (the bone and cartilage that divides the nose in half). Breathing through the nose can be difficult if the condition is severe. The doctor advised Abu Bakar to undergo Septoplasty as a lasting cure. Septoplasty is a corrective surgical procedure done to straighten a deviated nasal septum. But due to continuous delays from the hospital, Abu Bakar could not secure a date for his surgery.

Abu Bakar is a factory worker. He is the only earner in the family and they get no financial assistance from anybody. The staff at the local hospital told him about Transparent Hands and he immediately contacted us. We verified and registered his case. While speaking to one of our medical team officers, he shared his distress with us in the following manner:

“I have dealt with this condition for more than half of my life. But due to my financial conditions, I ignored it. However, it is now affecting my everyday tasks. Please help me so that I can continue to support my family.”

Abu Bakar is now connected with Transparent Hands. We have assured him to get him cured but this will not be possible without your generous support. Hence, we request you to please donate for Abu Bakar’s Septoplasty.

Abu Bakar's Story

Abu Bakar, a 28-year-old from Karachi, had been struggling to breathe for 16 years. His family couldn't afford the surgery he needed, so he relied on a nebulizer and nasal spray to manage his symptoms. But one day, at a medical camp in Baldia Town, he was introduced to Transparent Hands - a non-profit organization that provides free medical treatments to those in need. Transparent Hands arranged for Abu Bakar to receive a septoplasty surgery on 17-06-2022 at Patel Hospital, performed by Dr. Talha. The surgery was a success and Abu Bakar can finally breathe comfortably again.

He is incredibly grateful to Transparent Hands donors who have given him the opportunity to improve his health and quality of life. This story is an inspiration to others facing similar financial challenges, and a reminder that access to quality medical care can change lives.
