Before you proceed to read the story, we want to remind you that you can make a difference. One-year-old Muhammad Adil is hovering on the threshold of life and death. However, your help can save him. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for Adil’s open-heart surgery as much as you can.

Muhammad Adil has been suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot since birth. TOF is a combination of four congenital abnormalities. These abnormalities include a ventricular septal defect (VSD), pulmonary valve stenosis, a misplaced aorta and a thickened right ventricular wall. ‘

To correct these abnormalities, the cardiologist has advised Muhammad Adil to undergo open-heart surgery for total correction. Before this, Adil has undergone open-heart surgery for Blalock-Taussig (BT) shunt in early infancy as well. Now, he needs another open-heart surgery for total correction. But, unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond his parents’ affordability. Adil’s father is the sole earner of the family. He works as a labourer and hardly earns PKR 15000 per month. His income is hardly enough to keep the family afloat. Therefore, they are in no position to arrange for their son’s surgery. His father told us:

“Adil is my firstborn. He is the apple of my eye. All of us waited for his birth like no other thing. Little did we know that a monstrous disease would be eating him up from inside. Now, we don’t even know if he would survive or not. That’s how hopeless we are.”

After a lot of distress, Adil’s parents have registered his case with Transparent Hands. We have assured them that we would try our best to arrange their son’s open-heart surgery. Muhammad Adil's Story

A year and old Muhammad Adil, living in Rahim Yar Khan had been enduring the unimaginable difficulties breathing sinch birth. Upon the diagnosis, he was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). The doctor advised him to undergo Open Heart Surgery for Total Correction. His parents could not afford the procedure so they contacted Transparent Hands for help. We were dedicated to help them and with your contributions and the help of PAkistan Children’s Heart Foundation, we were able to do so. Hence, Muhammad Adil was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital. He got his surgery done by Dr. Mohammad Asim Khan on 16-06-2021 successfully. Adil was discharged after five days of hospital stay in a satisfactory condition. Muhammad Adil has now recoverd and he is living with a healthy heart.
