Two years ago, Ahsan Ali met with a road accident. After the accident, he felt intense pain in his left knee. The local doctor prescribed some medicine and asked him to consult an orthopaedic surgeon. He advised an MRI to assess the state of his knee. The report of the MRI showed that he had an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. The doctor has advised Ahsan to undergo an arthroscopic ACL reconstruction for his treatment. It is a minimally invasive surgical technique used for repair of  a torn anterior cruciate ligament, which is a major ligament in the knee. Moreover, Ahsan also needs to undergo a partial meniscectomy as well. Partial Meniscectomy is also a minimally invasive procedure designed to remove the damaged portion of the meniscus, a layer of cartilage on top of the tibia that cushions and stabilizes the knee joint. 

While this surgery is an effective solution to all of Ahsan Ali’s problems, there is no denying that it is a fairly expensive procedure. Unfortunately, Ahsan Ali cannot afford the hefty cost of these operations. He works as a helper in a textile mill and hardly earns enough to keep himself stable. He told us:
