Muhammad Ahsan’s story has reduced us to tears. At an age of mere twelve years old, he has suffered the pain of a lifetime. Before you dive into Ahsan’s tale of woes, please know that you can help him. Your donation, however small it may be, will help us restore Ahsan’s mobility. Two years ago, Muhammad Ahsan’s life took a rather unfortunate turn. While helping his landlord with chores, Muhammad Ahsan’s right arm got stuck in the chaff cutter. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the wound, the doctors had to amputate it from below elbow level. After the amputation wound healed, the doctors advised her to get a below elbow prosthesis. A prosthesis helps to replace the function of missing anatomical segments from the elbow to (and including) the hand.

Unfortunately, Ahsan’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a prosthetic arm. His father is chronically ill. Due to his deteriorating health, he cannot work. Therefore, Ahsan’s mother is the sole earner of the family. She works as a house helper and hardly earns PKR 5000 per month. In this meagre income, she finds herself in no position to arrange for his son’s artificial arm. Muhammad Ahsan told us:

“It is a crippling feeling for sure. I cannot even perform the basic tasks anymore. I love drawing, it keeps me sane most of the time. But, I cannot even do that anymore. Please help me get an artificial arm. It would solve half of my problems.”

After a lot of distress, Ahsan’s parents have registered his case with Transparent Hands. We wish to get him the artificial arm he needs. But, we need your help with that. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Ahsan’s artificial arm as much as you can.
