Ghulam Akbar's Story
Fifty-one years old Ghulam Akbar is in between the tussle of life and death. His life-threatening heart disease is eating him inside, while on the other hand, a tiny ray of hope has emerged. All you have to do is donate for Akbar’s open-heart surgery to save his life.
Ghulam Akbar hails from a remote area near district Okara in Punjab. For the last year, he has been suffering from recurrent chest pain along with breathlessness. Upon examination, ECG and ECHO tests, Ghulam Akbar the doctor diagnosed him with Triple vessel coronary artery disease (TVCAD). It is an aggravated form of IHD which develops when the major vessels supplying blood to the heart get blocked. To treat this life-threatening condition, the cardiologist advised him to undergo a CABG open-heart surgery as soon as possible. The surgeon performs coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) to improve blood flow to the heart.
Unfortunately, Ghulam Akbar cannot afford the hefty cost of his open-heart surgery. Despite his deteriorating health, he works as a labourer on a daily wage. His monthly income is PKR 20,000. In this slim income, he cannot arrange a surgery out of his pocket. Therefore, he has requested Transparent Hands for help. We urge you to please donate for Akbar’s open-heart surgery.
“One year ago, when we found out about my father’s heart condition, I started taking double shifts at the factory. Some days I even took night shifts to save money for my father’s treatment. One year has passed, and we are still at point zero. God knows who will relieve us of this stress” -Ghulam Akbar’s Son.
As a last resort, Ghulam Akbar has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We are determined to get him the best treatment possible. All we need is your earnest help. Click the donate now button and donate for Akbar’s open-heart surgery.

Ghulam Akbar's Story
Ghulam Akbar, aged 51 years, suffered from frequent episodes of chest pain. He also fell short of breath on little exertion. On medical consultation and workup, he was diagnosed with triple vessel coronary artery disease (TVCAD). The doctor recommended a coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery for it. For this reason, Ghulam was admitted to National Hospital & Medical Center and the surgery was performed by Dr. Ahmed Shahbaz on 09.03.2021. He stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in a stable condition. Since the surgery helped improve blood flow to Ghulam’s heart, his condition has improved significantly.
