Two and half years old Ali Ahmed, a resident of Okara, has the most charming smile. Behind this beautiful smile lies a truth the world doesn’t know. Ali Ahmed contracted a severe infection of Necrotizing fasciitis of the perianal region. Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare bacterial infection that spreads quickly in the body and can cause death. Accurate diagnosis, rapid antibiotic treatment, and prompt surgery are important to stopping this infection. To help this treatment, Ali has had a Colostomy surgery to divert fecal contents away from the wound. Now, Ali Ahmed has been advised to undergo a Colostomy reversal surgery.
A Colostomy Closure surgery is an integral step in Ali’s journey towards recovery. However, it is not an affordable surgery. Unfortunately, Ali’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a Colostomy reversal surgery. Now, they have requested Transparent Hands for help. Consequently, with a family of three to raise, he cannot afford the surgical expenses of his son’s procedure. He told us:

Two-and-a-half-year-old Ali Ahmed, a resident of Okara had necrotizing fasciitis in the perineal region. He underwent colostomy surgery in the first month of his life at a local hospital. The doctor advised his parents to wait for the colostomy reversal surgery till their kid’s wounds were fully settled and healed. After some time, his parents tried to get an appointment for the colostomy reversal surgery but they faced continuous delays. His parents reached out to Transparent Hands and we registered his case. Ali Ahmed was admitted to Ittefaq hospital on 1-06-2022. His operation was performed by Dr. Muhammad Daud on 3-06-2022. He was discharged from the hospital after six days of stay. He is feeling better now.
